Why do so many families choose this solution?

Security doesn't stop at the front door.

Many owners invest in a strong front door but forget the back of their property: the basement, the garage, the storage room. Burglars know that. Manufar's basement doors are made of galvanised or coated steel with anti-corrosion treatment, high impact resistance, and a choice between manual or motorised operation. Custom sizing is standard — every basement has different dimensions.

"Feeling at home starts with a sense of security. Our experts listen to your situation and recommend what truly fits — not the most expensive option, but the right one."

The 6 key benefits

What you gain every day

Robust steel

Galvanised or coated steel with anti-corrosion treatment. Resistant to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical shocks.

High impact resistance

Withstands vandals and forced entry attempts via basement entrances — the most commonly overlooked burglary vector.

Wide stock availability

A large part of the range is available directly from stock. No long waiting times when replacing or repairing.

Manual or motorised

From simple operation to fully automatic control with remote — to suit your needs.

Custom-made in every size

No standard size? No problem. Basement doors are made to measure for every rough opening.

Integrable into a master key plan

Your basement door can be integrated into a master key plan so that managers can reach every zone with a single key.

Do you recognise your situation?

Which scenario fits you?

Our solutions are tailored to real situations of Belgian families. Do you see yourself?

Basement storage at home

A rear exit or basement entrance that lets burglars in unseen — secured steel doors solve that problem.

Parking garage

Shared parking areas need doors that stop vandalism and unauthorised access, even outside opening hours.

Technical rooms

Gas meters, electrical distribution boards, and heating installations require access protection — safety and liability in one.

Renovation and replacement

Replacing rusty or damaged existing doors with a robust solution that lasts for years.

Buying advice

What should you look for?

Not every solution fits every situation. Use this checklist before you decide.

01

Manual or automatic?

For frequent use, choose automation. For sporadically accessed spaces, a solid manual door is sufficient.

02

Which steel type suits your environment?

Galvanised steel is ideal for damp environments such as basements. Coated steel is more aesthetically appealing for visible entrances.

03

Is custom sizing necessary?

Basements rarely have standard dimensions. Custom manufacturing is the norm at Manufar, not the exception — at a fair price.

04

Which lock or locking system?

From a simple padlock to a certified cylinder lock with a master key plan — the security level is tailored to your situation.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Your question not listed? Feel free to contact us — we answer every question personally.

Ask your question
Can a basement door also be integrated into a master key plan?

Yes. If your building has a master key plan, your basement door can be included so the manager has access to all zones with a single key.

How resistant to burglary is a steel basement door?

A properly fitted steel basement door with a good cylinder lock is significantly harder to force than a wooden or aluminium door. The exact resistance depends on the model chosen.

Is motorisation expensive to maintain?

Modern automation is low-maintenance. An annual inspection is sufficient. Manufar also offers maintenance contracts for automatic doors.

What if my basement door is damaged by burglary or vandalism?

Call our 24/7 emergency line. We provide emergency response to secure your property again as quickly as possible.

Can basement doors also be fire-resistant?

For technical rooms that require it (heating installations, transformer rooms), we also supply fire-resistant steel basement doors rated EI30.
