Not every solution fits every situation. Use this checklist before you decide.
Which cylinder class do you need?
EN 1303 class 6 is the highest class — anti-drill, anti-pick, anti-pull. For most homes this is the recommended choice. Class 3 or 4 is sufficient for less critical doors.
Will the cylinder fit my existing door?
Profile and cylinder sizes are standardized. In most cases a new cylinder fits without modifications. Our advisors verify this based on your existing size.
How many keys do you need?
Determine who needs access: family members, cleaning staff, caretaker. Start with the minimum and have more duplicated later at Manufar with your ownership card.
Do you also need a key plan?
If you have multiple doors or multiple users, a key plan is the ideal addition. One master key for yourself, limited access per person.

Ask your questionCan I install a security cylinder myself?
In principle, yes — removing and installing cylinders is technically simple. However, we recommend professional installation to guarantee everything is perfectly adjusted and the cylinder functions optimally.
What if I lose my ownership card?
Without an ownership card we cannot duplicate keys — that is exactly the point. A lost ownership card requires a visit to Manufar with ID and possibly proof of purchase to verify the owner's file.
Is a security cylinder also compatible with a smart lock?
Some smart locks work on the existing cylinder format. Certified electronic cylinders also exist. We advise you on the best combination of mechanical security and digital control.
How long does a security cylinder last?
A quality certified cylinder lasts 10 to 20 years with normal use. Annual lubrication is sufficient maintenance. Replace at signs of wear or after a tampering attempt.
Does a cylinder also protect against burglary through the window?
No. A cylinder only protects the door it is mounted on. For a complete risk analysis we recommend also evaluating your windows, garage door and other access points.
