Why do so many families choose this solution?

When a backup is not enough — or when originals are irreplaceable.

Some documents exist in a single copy: an original will, a notarial deed from 40 years ago, property documents, patents. You cannot digitize and store them online. A fire-resistant cabinet is the most cost-effective way to protect them. Manufar supplies fire-resistant cabinets certified for paper (LFS 30P / 60P) and for digital media (LFS 30DIS / 60DIS) — two very different specifications.

"Feeling at home starts with a sense of security. Our experts listen to your situation and recommend what truly fits — not the most expensive option, but the right one."

The 6 key benefits

What you gain every day

Documents survive a fire

Internally, the temperature stays below 175°C — the critical point for paper. Your originals survive the fire.

Special media cabinet variant

For USB drives, SSDs and hard drives, a maximum internal temperature of 65°C is required. Specific media cabinet versions are available.

Water-resistant during firefighting

The P classification also means water resistance. Firefighting water and the cabinet falling during a floor collapse are withstood.

Large range of sizes

From a small desk cabinet to a complete fire-resistant archive system. Every office environment has its solution.

Combinable with burglary protection

Combined safes with both LFS and EN 1143-1 certification protect your documents against fire AND burglary.

Legally recognized storage

Original notarial deeds and wills stored in a certified cabinet — legally demonstrable protection.

Buying advice

What should you look for?

Not every solution fits every situation. Use this checklist before you decide.

01

Paper or digital media — it makes a difference

Paper survives up to 175°C; digital media already fail above 65°C. Explicitly choose a media cabinet (DIS) if you want to protect digital storage.

02

LFS 30 or LFS 60?

LFS 30 protects for 30 minutes at 800°C. LFS 60 doubles this to 60 minutes. The choice depends on the building type and fire department response time.

03

Do you also need burglary resistance?

A fire-resistant cabinet is not automatically burglary-resistant. If you need both, we recommend a combined fire-resistant safe (EN 1143-1 + LFS) or two separate products.

04

How large should the cabinet be?

Inventory everything you want to store. Also consider growth over the next 5 years. Too full is just as problematic as no protection.

How does an installation work?

Step by step — from consultation to installation

01

Inventory

What do you store? Paper or media? How much? Does it also need to be burglary-resistant?

Frequently asked questions

Your question not listed? Feel free to contact us — we answer every question personally.

Ask your question
Does an LFS 30P cabinet also protect against water during firefighting?

Yes. The P classification in LFS 30P stands for "paper" but also includes a water resistance and drop test. The cabinet is also exposed to firefighting water during certification testing.

Is a fire-resistant cabinet the same as a fire-resistant safe?

No. A fire-resistant cabinet is certified for fire protection (LFS standard). A safe is certified for burglary protection (EN 1143-1 standard). Combined products exist but are more expensive. If you need both, we recommend the combined option or two separate products.

Can I digitize documents instead of buying a cabinet?

For copies, digitizing is ideal. But original deeds, notarial documents, and property titles cannot legally be replaced by scans. Those originals are best kept in a fire-resistant cabinet.

Are fire-resistant cabinets suitable for a home environment?

Absolutely. We have smaller models specifically designed for private use — they fit in a desk and weigh only a few dozen kilograms.

How do I maintain a fire-resistant cabinet?

Little maintenance is needed. An annual check of the hinges and lock is sufficient. Check that the seals are intact and the cabinet is not overfilled.
