Why do so many families choose this solution?

Maximum security in a slimmer, more elegant shell.

The Fichet Bauche Carena differs from the Millium through its Gradium wall: a composite material Fichet Bauche developed exclusively to achieve higher burglary resistance at a thinner wall thickness. This gives the Carena a slimmer profile that integrates more easily into office furniture or niches. With the same ECB·S certifications and insurance coverage as the Millium — but with a design advantage.

"Feeling at home starts with a sense of security. Our experts listen to your situation and recommend what truly fits — not the most expensive option, but the right one."

The 6 key benefits

What you gain every day

Gradium composite wall — Fichet patent

Patented composite material that, at equal or thinner wall thickness, offers higher burglary resistance than solid steel alone.

Slimmer profile — easier to install

The thinner wall makes the Carena better suited for installation in office furniture, niches, or under counters.

Certified Grade I E, II E, or III E

The E class in the Carena stands for the Gradium-reinforced version — certified per EN 1143-1 with the same insurance coverage as standard Grades.

Multiple certified lock options

Mechanical combination lock, electronic lock, or mechatronic lock. All certified to EN 1300.

Substantial weight — floor/wall anchorable

Despite its slimmer profile, the Carena is still heavy enough to make transport by burglars difficult.

Refined finish

The Carena is finished in a stylish grey tone with clean lines — suitable for representative office environments.

Free security advice at home — no obligations

Our specialist assesses your situation on-site and proposes a solution that fits your home and budget.

Do you recognise your situation?

Which scenario fits you?

Our solutions are tailored to real situations of Belgian families. Do you see yourself?

Office environments with aesthetic requirements

Executive offices, law firms, reception areas — where the safe is visible but should not look like a "bunker".

Integration into furniture or a niche

Thanks to the slimmer profile, the Carena fits more situations than the Millium — ideal for custom furniture or library niches.

Private individuals who value design

Owners who want a certified safe at home without compromising the interior.

Representative institutions

Galleries, museum shops, hotel receptions — environments where the safe and interior need to match.

Buying advice

What should you look for?

Not every solution fits every situation. Use this checklist before you decide.

01

Carena or Millium: what is the difference for me?

Identical security performance and insurance recognition. The difference lies in the wall material (Gradium vs. steel), the resulting profile (slimmer for the Carena), and the price (Carena is slightly more expensive). Choose the Carena if installation or aesthetics matter.

02

Which Grade do you need?

Grade I E for values up to about €25,000, Grade II E up to €35,000, Grade III E up to €55,000 (Assuralia guidelines). Our advisor helps you make the right choice based on your insurance requirement.

03

Is the Carena also available with fire protection?

Contact our advisor for the current availability of the fire-resistant Carena variant. For combined fire and burglary protection, also check the InviKtus.

04

How does the Carena integrate into office furniture?

The Carena can be built into office furniture with an installation opening matching the external dimensions. Our technician checks feasibility and installs the safe correctly.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Your question not listed? Feel free to contact us — we answer every question personally.

Ask your question
What is Gradium?

Gradium is a patented composite material from Fichet Bauche made up of multiple layers with complementary properties. It offers higher burglary resistance per unit of thickness than solid steel — allowing the Carena to be slimmer than the Millium while keeping identical certification.

Are the Carena's insurance recognitions equal to the Millium's?

Yes. Grade I E, II E, and III E have the same insurance coverage as standard Grade I, II, and III. The E variant is accepted by all Belgian insurers who recognize EN 1143-1 safes.

How much slimmer is the Carena exactly?

The exact wall thickness varies per model. Ask our advisor for the precise external dimensions of the specific Grade and size you are considering.

Is the Carena also available as a wall safe (in the wall)?

The Carena is a freestanding/anchored safe — not a safe built into the wall. For wall installation, check the Fichet Bauche Complice.

Does the Carena need maintenance?

Annual lubrication of the lock and inspection of hinges and seals is recommended. Manufar offers maintenance contracts.
