RC5 and RC6 are custom-manufactured products. The price depends on the dimensions, finish, lock, and any extras such as bullet resistance. Contact us for a confidential quote.
Is an RC6 door also fire-resistant?
Not by default. Fire resistance and burglary resistance are separate certifications. Combined versions (RC6 + EI60) exist but are rarer and available on request.
How long does production of an RC5/RC6 door take?
Typically 6 to 10 weeks lead time. This is a custom-manufactured product with strict manufacturing standards. We communicate transparently about the delivery time with the quote.
Can we see reference projects?
References are not shared publicly. During a personal conversation, we can show anonymised examples — with mutual agreement.
Can an existing door frame be kept with RC5/RC6?
In most cases, no. RC5 and RC6 require specific frames that meet the overall system certification. This is assessed during the site visit.
Which certification is best — SKG, VdS, or CNPP?
All three are recognised European testing institutes. SKG is the Dutch/Belgian market leader, VdS is German, CNPP is French. All three are equivalent in value and recognised by Belgian insurers.
Can an armored door also include a glass panel?
Yes, but with specific requirements. The glass must be laminated safety glass that does not reduce the RC level of the door. This is possible up to RC4 with the right specification; for RC5/RC6 this is assessed per project.
What is the difference between an armored door and an entrance door?
Both terms refer to doors with burglary resistance. "Entrance door" refers to the use (front door of a home, usually RC2–RC4); "armored door" refers to the highest protection levels RC5–RC6 for special risk profiles.
